Chasa Symonds (Chasa Real Talk): Scaffolding, Boxing & Starting Again
Description
Scaffolder. Professional boxer. Viral trade personality. Business owner.
Meet Chasa Symonds, better known as Chasa Real Talk!
In Season 1, Episode 8 of Off The Job: A Tradesman Podcast, Chasa joins Keiran Yates and Pete Withers to share his unbelievable journey from working on scaffolding in Croydon to professional boxing, viral social media videos and running his own waste clearance business.
Starting in the scaffolding trade at just 15, Chasa quickly became known for his outrageous personality and hilarious videos showing the less glamorous side of life on a UK building site.
But behind the comedy is a powerful personal story.
Chasa speaks openly about his struggles with addiction and mental health, how his online personality began taking over his life, and the decisions that helped him start again.
He also explains how borrowing £600 from his dad helped him launch Real Talk Clearance, discussing the realities of self-employment, managing cash flow and building a business from scratch.
And because this is Off The Job, there's plenty of ridiculous trade banter along the way, including getting sacked over a mankini, bare-knuckle boxing, acting lessons and arguments about the worst trade to work alongside.
It's an episode full of laughs, honesty and reminders that life doesn't always go to plan.
