🚨Republican Lawmakers Plan to Ban CBDC in the U.S. 🟠Strike Rolls Out Services to Africa 🟢 OKX Launches in Turkey
🔴 🟠 Senators Ted Cruz, Bill Hagerty, Rick Scott, Ted Budd and Mike Braun filed a bill titled “The CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act.”
👏🏼 Republican lawmakers, led by Senator Ted Cruz , introduced “The CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act” to block the implementation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the U.S. They fear CBDCs could infringe on personal privacy. Despite being a campaign issue, President Biden’s administration has not taken a stance. The Federal Reserve is in the initial research stages, with Vice Chairman Michael Bar noting that any progress would need approval from The White House and Congress. Former President Trump vowed to ban CBDC creation, highlighting partisan division. Bill here https://lnkd.in/dPSgp-nY
- Sec 6 talks about — PROTECTION FOR OPEN, PERMISSIONLESS, AND PRIVATE CURRENCY (Cash)
🔴 🟠 The legislation is endorsed by Heritage Action for America (HAFA), the Blockchain Association, the American Bankers Association (ABA), the Independent Community Bankers Association (ICBA), and Club for Growth
(CFG).
