Her journey into offering Ideology-free supervision was sparked by a deep concern for ​the struggles she witnessed many new professionals facing in graduate programs ​dominated by rigid ideologies. Now more than ever she believes in the extraordinary ​power of dialogue and the importance of feeling confident to voice one's thoughts and ​opinions, especially in the formative stages of a counseling career. For this reason, she created The Ideological Oasis, a place where Interns and Graduate students can find support and clinical clarity through group and individual mentorship. Karen is also a Ketamine Assisted therapist, MAPS MDMA Assisted Therapy and Psychedelic Assisted Therapy trained and offers supervision and mentorship for new Psychedelic Assisted therapists, in addition to more traditional clinical supervision and guidance.
