Should Oregon Decriminalize Sex Work?

Published 2 years, 9 months ago
Description

A coalition of sex workers, their allies, and lawmakers are encouraging Oregon to decriminalize sex work. They say current laws punish consenting adults who buy and sell sex, drawing a distinction from sex trafficking. But how would that work? And how will this differ from the messy process of decriminalizing drug possession in the state? Today on City Cast Portland, we’re talking with Elle Stanger, a Portland-based certified holistic sex educator, sex worker, and host of the “They Talk Sex” podcast. They’re here to help walk us through those questions.

This interview touches on some explicit topics, including sex work and sex trafficking.
