The Tipping Culture

Seems like tips are expected everywhere. If you use a delivery service there is a delivery fee and you can add a tip but it feels like the driver wants a tip on top of that – maybe that’s just my guilty conscience.

We took a ride service to O’Hare when we went to Jamaica and the fee included a driver gratuity but the driver definitely expected a tip. When we were at the All-Inclusive resort we pay for nothing and some say you need not tip it is included. Others say tip at the end, other tip for everything. Not tht we are seasoned pros, we tip when someone goes beyond the call of duty and we tip maid services and the people who provided daily services at the end.

I like to think I am a good tipper. Are you a good tipper? Do you adjust when service is poor or extraordinary?

Admittedly, it’s tough to know how much to tip for things and for which things I should tip for.
