Back to EpisodesPort St. Lucie's future is in good hands: Meet the leaders of our Youth Council!
Description
Youth Councils represent the views of young people at a local level. Run by young people for young people, they give youth their age a voice and enable them to make their views heard in the decision-making process.
Port St. Lucie's newly established Youth Council is already doing great things!
On Episode 18, host and Social Media Manager Maureen Kenyon talks with Community Engagement Manager Stephanie Vernot, who's also the Youth Council coordinator, about how the Council was developed and what a Youth Council means for the City of Port St. Lucie. Then, Youth Council chair and co-chair, Victoria Zaravelis and Enrique Rosario, join us to share their goals and ideas and why it's important for Port St. Lucie's young people to have a voice in their local government.
