Episode 53: Hamilton City Council Is Out Of Touch With Its Citizens
Description
Is Hamilton City Council connected to the needs of its citizens anymore?
Council recently passed a budget that will see a 5.8% increase in taxes, thanks in large part to the use of reserves totalling $155 million dollars.
Along with millions invested into bike lanes, and the conversion of Main Street into a two-way street, many are questioning who this council represents and what the city’s financial situation will look like in a year’s time when taxes are expected to be significantly higher.
We unpack the woes of Hamilton City Council with John Best, Publisher of The Bay Observer in Episode 53 of The Bill Kelly Podcast.
