In our 49th episode of COMIC BEAT INSIDER (CBI), Jimmy and Heidi MacDonald (The Beat Chief) welcome Erin Crosby (Pickles and Pies) and Johanna Draper Carlson (Comics Worth Reading). For March, the theme will be "movies that were ahead of their time" which can take on a number of meanings. This week, we talk the 1980 Robin Williams/Shelley Duvall musical film POPEYE. Is this really a musical film or a film w/ music? Was Popeye the original mumble rapper? How perfect was Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl? What happened with that octopus? Does Sweethaven still exist? Join us each week to listen in live. Send in topic ideas for future episodes. Be it in comics, TV or film. Also, get a hold of us!
Thanks for listening!
