In February 2012, Steve, at the peak of his NFL career, played the best game of his life, but he felt very depressed. Despite his achievements, he realized he still felt unchanged and unfulfilled. Pursuing one success after another, he started saving money for retirement, strayed from his faith, and turned to substances for solace. Steve shares his transformative journey back to church, how it reshaped his life, and led to improvements in various aspects. 

Steve uses an analogy of wrecking his first car as a teenager, drawing parallels to his relationship with religion. Just as one would dread informing their father about a car accident, there's a similar feeling in turning to God after a mistake. Steve highlights the concept of God providing solutions without judgment, emphasizing abundant mercy.
