This week, we delve into the inspiring journey of Cynthia, a former international civil servant who, after a job loss, decided to embrace her passion for wine. Through her experiences navigating the male-dominated wine industry in France, Cynthia discovered a need for women-focused wine tastings and workshops. This led her to create a champagne networking club for women and to offer workshops empowering women to explore and understand their preferences and the technical aspects of wine. We also get a glimpse into the France trip Wendy is hosting in September. As this trip coincides with harvest season in Champagne, Cynthia will be offering insider access to experiences like grape picking and cellar tours. About Cynthia:
Cynthia Coutu is Canadian and has been living in Paris for over 30 years. After working at the Canadian Embassy in France and the OECD for 20 years managing their digital communications, she hung up her international civil servant hat and pursued her passion. She studied wine at L’Académie du Vin and L’École du Vin, and is certified Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 3 with Merit. She founded Delectabulles, a champagne networking club for women. She hosts champagne workshops in Paris, judges wine contests, and loves taking people to visit her favorite producers in Champagne.
