Season 1 Episode 39
Don’t Be Perfect. Be Better Consistently. - Horace McMillon
Over the past 17 months I have eliminated 100 pounds of weight and I have maintained my new weight. Before starting the process I was on medication for high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Under medical supervision, I’ve since been able come off all medications.
After consulting with a nutritionist, I went on a daily calorie count. And committed to drinking at least 64 ounces of water per day. No one would consider me a healthy eater. But I am eating better.
I still eat out. I still eat fast food. I still eat my favorite things. However, I don’t eat them all at same time on the same day anymore. I consistently make healthier choices on a regular basis. I’ve become very intentional about what I eat.
I’m a long way from perfect. But I’m consistently better. And that consistency has made the difference.
Peace be with you.
