Sermon The Darkest Valley with God is better than the Hilltop without God‼️
Published 2 years, 5 months ago
Description
2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go,
Anywhere He leads me in this world below;
Anywhere without Him dearest joys would fade;
Anywhere with Jesus I am not afraid.
Refrain
Anywhere, anywhere! Fear I cannot know;
Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go.
IT IS HUMAN NATURE TO ALWAYS WANT TO BE KING OF THE HILL HOWEVER,THE BEST HILLTOP WITHOUT GOD IS WORSE THAN THE DARKEST VALLEY WITH GOD. WHEN ISRAEL TRIED TO TAKE HILLS OF CANAAN WITHOUT GOD IT WAS A TOTAL FIASCO
Numbers 14:42-45
Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies. 43For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you. 44But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp. 45Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah.
GOD’S WAY IS ALWAYS THE BEST WAY‼️ EVEN IF IT TAKES US THROUGH LIFE’S DARKEST VALLEY HE WILL BE THERE WITH US. WHAT MATTERS IN LIVE IS NOT WHERE YOU ARE BUT WHO IS WITH YOU. “ANYWHERE WITH JESUS WILL BE HOME SWEET HOME”
Isaiah 42:16
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
1 Kings 20:28
And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Let us live in the sunlight of the cross of Calvary. Let us no longer dwell in the shadow, complaining of our sorrows, for this only deepens our trouble. Let us never forget, even when we walk in the valley, that Christ is as much with us when we walk trustingly there as when we are on the mountaintop. – {In Heavenly Places p. 52.6}
Hebrews 13:5-6 ESV
”Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”“
Psalm 23:1-6
…Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalm 148:6-7
Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. 7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
WHEN YOU WALK WITH GOD YOU WILL TURN THE BITTER LEMONS IN LIFE’S DARK VALLEYS INTO LEMONADE
Psalm 84:4-7, Isaiah 41:17-18
When trials come upon you, you have only one Source of strength. You need not pour your troubles into human ears; for it will do you little good. You may think it will help you, but there is only One who can give you comfort and strength. Jesus has said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” And how is he to give rest? He says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” We are to find rest in wearing the yoke of Christ, in bearing his burden. – {Review and Herald January 28, 1890 Par. 6}
Psalm 107:13-15, Exodus 33:14-17 ESV
