Brazil's Supreme Court on Thursday ordered former President Jair Bolsonaro to surrender his passport for 24 hours in the middle of the police operation, which was carried out this day against allies of the far-right for attempted coup last January 8, 2023.

The head of the Supreme Court, Alexandre de Moraes, issued the decision in the framework of Operation Tempus Veritatisas, which investigates the attempted coup d'état and abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law before and after January 8, 2023.

The commissioner of the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, warned on Thursday that around 300,000 people in the northern Gaza Strip are on the verge of starvation amid the Israeli military siege against the Palestinian territory.
