Recovering Recovery

Episode 236 Published 2 years ago
Description

Recovery shouldn't take forever. There's no reason for you to be an addict, or a recovering addict, for a majority of your life. Today we're gonna talk about that a little more. Have a listen.

Highlights:

  • If you are not able to live a life free of that thing, and happy, and more capable than you were before, then it doesn't deserve the title of a rehab center. (4:00)
  • I've often compared it to being chased by a rabid dog; you always have to stay one step ahead and you can't stop. (6:55)
  • If it takes 30 years to overcome something that can happen in days, weeks, or months, then whoever's running that program, doesn't have a clue about it. (11:20)
  • How closely have you paid attention to the small things, and how well have you trained yourself to recover. (14:20)
