Season 1 Episode 31
Hope Is Our Oxygen
“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” — Desmond Tutu
Living a life of hope doesn’t mean one is blind to the hardships and suffering all around them. Living in hope doesn’t mean that one is oblivious to the scale and scope of the problems they face
Living in hope means being determined to see the light in the midst of the darkness, the joy in the midst of the pain, the hope in the midst of despair.
Bishop Tutu lived and served during a time of immense darkness. But he never let the darkness enter his soul. The dehumanizing apartheid system in South Africa was built to suffocate all aspirations of equality and freedom.
Hope was the oxygen of the freedom movement. Hope is our oxygen.
Peace be with with you.
