[המשך] אופן הנהגת בעל ההילולא היתה כמו אברהם אבינו – שלא הי' להוט אחר מסירת נפש. ענינו הי' "ויקרא שם בשם ה' א-ל עולם" ולהפיץ תומ"צ, ובשביל זה לא נרתע משום דבר עד כדי מסירת נפש. ובמילא לא נכנס לחקירות אם צריך ע"פ דין למסור נפשו, כמו שנחשון לא התפעל מהכתות השונות שבבנ"י אלא הוא יודע רק דבר א' – שצריכים לילך ולהתקרב להר סיני. ואם יש ים באמצע – קופץ לים! ובלי לדעת מה יהי' בסוף שבזכות קפיצתו לים נבקע הים וכל המימות שבעולם, שלכן נפל גם פחד בארץ כנען. וזוהי ההוראה לנו: העבודה שלנו היא לקיים "אני נבראתי לשמש את קוני" ו"אוהב את הבריות ומקרבן לתורה" ולהכין אותם לגאולה העתידה, ולא להתפעל מכתות השונות שבבנ"י ושיטותיהם וכו' והעלמות והסתרים. כל א' צריך להחשיב את עצמו כנחשון ו"לקפוץ לים" במס"נ ולילך בעצמו להר סיני ואחריו ילכו שאר בנ"י עד לגאולה האמיתית והשלימה!

[Continued.] The conduct of the baal hahilula was like that of Avraham Avinu. He wasn’t looking for mesiras-nefesh; his goal was to “call there in the name of Hashem, Keil olam,” and to spread Torah and mitzvos, and in that pursuit he was deterred by nothing, even it required mesiras-nefesh. Therefore, he didn’t get into analyzing whether mesiras-nefesh was required by law or not, just as Nachshon was not deterred by the different factions among the Jewish people; he knew just one thing – that the Jewish people had to advance toward Har Sinai. And if there was a sea in the middle, he jumped into the sea! And without knowing what would happen after jumping into the sea. It was precisely this approach that caused the sea to split, along with all the waters in the world, which caused dread and fear to fall upon the land of Canaan. This is the lesson for us: Our work is that “I was created to serve my Creator;” to “love the creatures and draw them close to Torah,” and to prepare them for the future Redemption, without being deterred by other factions among the Jewish people or what they’re saying, nor by any concealments or challenges. Everyone must consider himself like Nachshon and “jump into the sea” with mesiras-nefesh, and go personally to Har Sinai – then, the rest of the Jewish people will follow to the true and complete Redemption!
