To celebrate moving in together, you and your boyfriend decide to throw a party and invite some friends. This includes Jake– a guy friend of yours, who can be very friendly but he and your boyfriend grate each other’s nerves.

For the sake of you, they try to keep it cordial during the times they meet. But during a conversation between them, your boyfriend is told something he didn’t hear from you, and he feels a bit betrayed.

You attempt to handle it like you always have– deflection with a bit of avoidance– but your boyfriend tells you just how hurt he was. Realizing your mistake, you admit your faults and you both promise to communicate better. But actions speak louder than words, right?
