Day 13: Connect with a Friend

What to Do: Reach out to a friend you haven't spoken to in a while.

Daily Practice: Have a meaningful conversation or meet for coffee.

Example: Catch up, share stories, and strengthen your connection.

Motivational Quote: "Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, 'What! You too? I thought I was the only one.'" - C.S. Lewis.

Guidance for Accomplishing the Task:

  • Identify the Friend: Think of a friend or acquaintance you haven't interacted with for some time. It could be a childhood friend, a former colleague, or someone you've lost touch with.
  • Reach Out: Send them a warm message or call to reconnect. You can say something like, "Hi [Friend's Name], I've been thinking about you and our past conversations. I'd love to catch up."
  • Plan the Conversation: If they respond positively, suggest a suitable time and mode of communication. It could be a phone call, a video chat, or an in-person meeting for coffee or lunch.
  • Listen Actively: During your conversation, focus on active listening. Show genuine interest in what your friend has to say. Ask open-ended questions to encourage them to share more.
  • Share and Reflect: Share your own experiences and thoughts as well. Reflect on the memories you've shared and the experiences you've had together.
