Episode Details

Supernatural Season 5, Episode 18, Point of No Return recap 🪽 It's Supernatural's 100th episode, Dean is on a farewell tour, and Adam Milligan (Jake Abel) is back from the dead with a very big job: backup vessel for the Archangel Michael, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.

Dean has decided to say yes to Michael, and Sam, Bobby, and Cas are NOT having it. While Dean is locked in Bobby's panic room, the angels resurrect a familiar face, John Winchester's other son, Adam, to step in if Dean won't. Then Cas carries Dean to a very angry, very bruising confrontation in an alley, and the whole team heads into a final showdown with Zachariah (Kurt Fuller), who has been waiting a LONG time for this.

Episode Highlights:

• Dean's motel room number: 100 (happy 100th, Supernatural!)
• Dean's farewell tour (including a stop at Lisa's)
• Cas taking out two angels in the hallway and stealing their blades
• Adam is back... and the angels already got to him
• Dean to Cas: Last time someone looked at me like that, I got laid
• Cas to Dean in the alley: I gave everything for you (oof)
• Cas's banishing sigil on his chest
• Zachariah calling the boys psychotically, irrationally, erotically codependent (we said what we said)
• The final showdown with Zachariah

In the lore segment, we dig into Zechariah of the New Testament: the father of John the Baptist, struck mute by the angel Gabriel for doubting that his elderly wife, Elizabeth, would give birth, until he wrote his son's name and broke into the Benedictus. (No wonder he was so angry.)

"Screw destiny, right in the face." – Dean Winchester
