The Houthis in Yemen promised to keep the Red and Arabic Seas close to ships associated with Israel until the end of what they call Israel's aggression towards Palestinians in Gaza, backed by the US.
At the International Criminal Court in The Hague it was Israel's turn to present its defence against South Africa's accusation that it is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. South Africa asked the court to order an immediate halt to Israeli military operations in Gaza.
