Dead Pioneers, a punk rock force hailing from Denver, CO, burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut album in September 2023. This musical endeavor, rooted in the punk aesthetic, fearlessly addresses issues within our society, making a bold statement against the backdrop of a nation entrenched in hypocrisy.

Led by Gregg Deal, a nationally known Indigenous artist of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, Dead Pioneers evolved from a lockdown project initiated during the Covid pandemic. Collaborating with guitarist Josh Rivera and drummer Shane Zweygardt, the band's original music began taking shape. The addition of Lee Tesche, lead guitarist for Algiers, during an art residency in Florida, solidified the lineup, with later inclusion of guitarist Abe Brennan during the recording sessions at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO.

Dead Pioneers emerged from a fusion of profound passion for music, an unwavering devotion to art, and a fearless DIY disposition, epitomizing the spirit of forging ahead without a predetermined path.
