In Ecuador the Army is on the streets after declaring criminal groups a military objective following President Daniel Noboa's decree of an internal conflict.

The first day of the internal armed conflict in Ecuador ended on Tuesday with 10 deaths, three wounded, vehicles incinerated and at least six kidnapped, as well as the arrest of some 70 alleged criminals.
