Dr. Derek Bub is the superintendent of West Ada School District. WASD is the highest ranking large school district in the state of Idaho. It has a very unique school choice program, several STEM and art programs, an IB program, and more. Aside from the programs it offers, it also has a huge number of students at almost 40,000. It was wonderful to have a chance to speak with Dr. Bub how the district is managing the growth, the successes, and the areas of needed improvements.

The Ranch Podcast is the premier source for long format interviews and information in Eagle and the Treasure Valley of Idaho. The Boise area is home to many counties and ways of life. It’s also home to many law enforcement agencies, like Ada County and Canyon county Sheriff offices, Idaho State Police, Eagle Police Department, Meridian Police Department, and many more. The school systems in the area are also quite diverse. Boise school district and West Ada School District, though right next to each other, are quite different.
