Now in the custody of Felix, Jews come from Jerusalem to accuse Paul of sedition. Following the prosecution’s testimony of wild speculation, Paul gives his defense to the satisfaction of Felix. However, Felix, being corrupt, did not release him, but gave him more leniency. Following 2 years, Festus replaces Felix, who still leaves Paul in custody as a favor to the Jews.
