Description

This is the eighth of 20+ talks given by Fr. Timothy on living the Catholic faith. His goal is to help us achieve sainthood. He reminds us in this series that sainthood is not some extra add-on bonus we can achieve, but is rather the fullest expression of our true selves.

The subject of this 8th talk is sacred scripture. Fr. Tim talks about the importance of sacred scripture, how it can change us, and walks us through the steps of the prayer practice of Lectio Divina.

Just a few of the topics covered in this talk:

The nature of sacred scripture

The difference between “big T” and “little t” tradition

The infinite complexity of scripture

The difference between Catholic and protestant bibles

How do we interpret scripture?
How to get the most out of reading scripture

How to use the writings of the saints

How to know if something is a sign from God
