Published 2 years, 2 months ago
Description
Bayern Munich’s first game back and of 2024 is a friendly match against next-door neighbors FC Basel. Try as they might, Bayern could not find a way through the Swiss team’s structure and were shutout for the most part of the game. The match eventually ended in a 1-1 draw. In this pod, RIPLT features in his pod debut and talks about the following:
- A look at the lineups from both teams
- Aleksandar Pavlović can make a proper pass; is he Bayern’s next Thiago?
- Leroy Sané and Alphonso Davies were frustrating in this game
- The match served as proving grounds for the youth and they did alright
- Passing around too much is not good, so is not doing it enough
- Basel played really well and gave Bayern hell (bars)
- Bayern can still be stifled even with a near full strength team
- A preview of Bayern’s upcoming January and February games up to the first leg of the Champions League
