Description
Along with the needle catheter, the first responders made another significant discovery: syringes and IV equipment were found inside a medical bag at the residence. Despite Pellot's profession as a nurse anesthetist, typically working in operating rooms, the presence of such medical supplies at a home is unusual. These items are ordinarily encountered in a clinical or hospital setting, not in a personal residence, adding another layer of intrigue to the situation.

Police interview Joel Pellot

Authorities escorted Pellot to the police station for further questioning, placing him in the back of a police cruiser. Once there, the station's cameras recorded Pellot exhibiting a range of emotional responses. He was seen crying, screaming, and agitatedly moving furniture around in the interview room, displaying a high level of distress.

During the interrogation, Pellot engaged in a detailed conversation with the lead investigator, Sgt. Luis Mata. Pellot revealed that he had moved out of the family home and was living with his girlfriend at the time. He mentioned visiting Muñoz to discuss matters concerning their marriage. Pellot recounted that after their conversation, Muñoz ingested the clonazepam pills. Additionally, he acknowledged that the medical supplies discovered in the house belonged to him. Pellot also disclosed to Sgt. Mata that he was using steroids.
