From Frontline to Page-Turning Sci-Fi: Todd Hosea's Journey of Storytelling and Self-Publishing
Description
Step into the world of Todd Hosea, a master storyteller and Air Force veteran who weaves his frontline experiences into the tapestry of his gripping science fiction and political thriller series. As we unpack tales of "Steel the Reaper" and "Hunt the Reaper," Todd reveals how his military life enriches his narratives, bringing a palpable authenticity to the high-stakes world he creates. He offers a sneak peek into the future of his series, teasing the construction of an alien world that's as believable as it is enthralling.
Venturing behind the curtain, he bares the nuanced realities of self-publishing, from the first stroke of the pen to the final click of the publish button. He details the trials and triumphs of taking full creative reign, from the meticulous crafting of cliffhangers to the cinematic unfolding of each chapter. Drawing inspiration from icons like Tom Clancy and the cinematic flair of games like "Jedi Survivor," this discussion uncovers what it takes to leave readers yearning for the next page.
Cap off this conversation with the lighter side of literary life as we playfully strategize for a zombie outbreak and ponder the unexpected career lessons from a childhood paper route. From encouraging aspiring young authors to the significance of daily writing discipline, these insights underscore the importance of perseverance in storytelling. Eager for more?
