Can you explain Dispensationalism? I have been seeing more and more definitions of it as it pertains to religion.

I loved the 4 Essentials Message/Conversation. My husband is not saved, I found Jesus 15 years ago after 20years of marriage. He is accepting of my faith and going to church and taking the time I want to take for my reading of the Word and my prayer time, and worship, but he has no interest in learning more about God.His one big fear that he has shared is that I will take “this Jesus thing” to the extreme.I’m trying to grow in my faith without distancing myself from him. Any ideas?
