א) איתא בירושלמי עמ"ש [בשלישי דפ' שמות] "ויואל משה וגו'" שמשה נשבע ליתרו שלא יעזוב את מדין, ולכן כאשר ה' שלחו למצרים הוצרך לחזור לחותנו ולהתיר את השבועה וכו'. וממשיך שם שניתן להתפיס שבועה בשבועתו של משה, ומקשה הרגצו'בי הלא שבועתו של משה הותרה והתבטלה?! ומתרץ דכיון ששבועת משה נכתבה בתורה, ופסוק זה הוא נצחי, ניתן להתפיס בו! ומכאן ההוכחה, ובמכל-שכן, שכל הסיפורים שנכתבו בתורה אודות משה גם של לפני מ"ת, כולל הסיפור אודות מסירות נפשו עבור היהודי שהוכה בידי המצרי, הם הוראות ניצחיות! ב) בקשר ליום ההילולא דאדה"ז כדאי שכ"א יקבל ע"ע ללמוד שו"ע אדה"ז "וואָס איז ליידער, מסיבות שונות ומשונות, פאַרלאָזט געוואָרן".

1) On the verse (in shelishi of Parashas Shemos) “And Moshe consented,” the Midrash states that Moshe swore to Yisro not to leave Midian, and therefore, when Hashem sent him to Egypt, Moshe had to return to his father-in-law to annul the oath, etc. It then goes on to say that one can take a binding oath by association with Moshe’s oath; the Rogatchover asks how that is possible, being that Moshe’s oath was annulled?! He answers that since Moshe’s oat is written in the Torah, in an eternal verse, one can use it to make an oath by association! Certainly, then, this shows that all the stories written in the Torah about Moshe – even those that precede the giving of the Torah, including the story of his self-sacrifice for the Jew he saw being struck by the Egyptian – all serve as an eternal lesson for us! 2) In connection with the yom haheilula of the Alter Rebbe, it is fitting for everyone to undertake to study the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch, which unfortunately is something that has been overlooked.
