In the late 1970's, Dr. Helen Wambach was a pioneer in past life regression. A clinical psychologist teaching at JFK University, she was seeing Vietnam veterans who recalled previous lifetimes under hypnosis. She designed a series of tests to avoid bias in these sessions, doing them in groups and having the groups do four two hour sessions.  Each group answered a questionnaire afterwards.

The same technique used by Universities to report drug efficacy. Only in her questions she focused on things that weren't in the zeitgeist, weren't things on TV or in books - the kinds of cloth used for clothing, the kind of cutlery used for dining, the kinds of materials used for construction and the weather patterns of that region that people were recalling. She let them choose the time period, and gave them a series of possible areas to observe.

Her results are mirrored in the work of Michael Newton and the Newton Institute. I've filmed 100 sessions and the results are the same - in my sampling half were not under hypnosis ("Architecture of the Afterlife" book) and the rest were. ("Flipside" "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" part one and two) and "Hacking the Afterlife."

This is an 80 minute lecture followed by an 80 minute past life regressions.  She suggests one write down the results and then do the research - much easier to do today than back them.

I present this as an homage to her and her work. Her books are "Reliving Past Lives" (Bantam 1978) and "Life Before Life" Bantam 1979.
