Supernatural Season 5, Episode 14, My Bloody Valentine recap 💘 It's Valentine's Day, and couples are literally eating each other alive. The boys meet a VERY huggy (and very naked) Cupid (Lex Medlin), Famine (James Otis) rolls into town, and Cas discovers burgers, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.

The episode opens with a couple on a dinner date that turns into a dinner date, if you know what we mean. The boys suspect a cupid gone rogue, and with Cas's help, they find one: a jolly, naked, hug-happy angel who has some very surprising news about the Winchester family. But the real problem is the Horseman Famine, who's turning the whole town into a buffet of their worst cravings. Everyone is starving for something, even Cas. And Sam's craving is the most dangerous of all.

• Dean punching Cupid in the face (and hurting his own hand)

In the lore segment, we dig into the third horseman of the Apocalypse, Famine, from Revelation 6:5–6: the rider on the black horse holding a pair of scales, and why a day's wages for a measure of wheat or barley was a symbol of economic hardship and inequality.

Dean: "Hey, when I want a drink, I drink. When I want sex, I go get it. Same goes for a sandwich or a fight."
Cas: "So you're saying you're just well adjusted?"
Dean: "God, no. I'm just well fed."
