סיום שני דפ' ויחי הוא "וידגו לרוב בקרב הארץ". וההוראה: שגם "בקרב הארץ", ענינים ארציים, הנה העסק בלימוד התורה הוא כמשל דגים שבים שכל חיותם אינה אלא בים – "תורתו אומנתו". וישנה ההבטחה להיות "כדגים הללו שפרים ורבים ואין עין הרע שולטת בהם" (רש"י). סיום שלישי דפ' ויחי הוא "אשר לקחתי מיד האמורי בחרבי ובקשתי", ות"א "בצלותי ובבעותי" – ענין התפלה. וביחד עם הענין דגמ"ח – ישנם הג' עמודים שעליהם העולם עומד. בהמשך לזה יש לעורר עוה"פ שכאו"א יקים בביתו "בית חב"ד", ולהשתתף גם בבית חב"ד של השכונה או העיר, ובאופן של "וידגו לרוב", ומתוך שמחה, וכמ"ש במס' סנהדרין פרק "חלק" (ע"ש התחלתו: כל ישראל יש להם חלק לעוה"ב) עה"פ "וטוב לב משתה תמיד" ש"אלו בעלי משנה" וכו'. ותומ"י, ובפרט ע"י ה"צלותי ובבעותי" של "עד מתי קץ הפלאות"?! זוכים לגאולה.

The daily Chumash for Monday of Parashas Vayechi concludes with, “and may they multiply abundantly like fish, in the midst of the land.” The lesson is that even in “the midst of the land,” worldly matters, one’s Torah study must be like the fish in the sea, whose whole life-force is in the sea – “Torah is his occupation.” And we are promised to be like “these fish which proliferate and multiply, and are unaffected by the evil eye” (Rashi). Tuesday’s Chumash concludes with “which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow,” which Onkelos translates as “with my prayer and with my plea” – tefillah. And along with Gemilus Chassadim (kind deeds) – these are the “three pillars upon which the world stands.” In this vein, it is appropriate to again encourage everyone to establish a “Chabad House” in his own home, as well as to participate in his local Chabad House, and in a manner of “multiplying abundantly like fish,” and with joy, as it says in Sanhedrin in Chapter “Chelek” (which is called Chelek because of its beginning: “All of the Jewish people have a portion (chelek) in the World to Come), on the verse, “he who has a cheerful heart always has a feast” – that “these are masters of Mishna” etc. And immediately, especially through “my prayer and my plea” of “How long will it be until the secret end?”, we will merit the Redemption.
