Connor Bedard scored the most skillful goal of the NHL season to this point, a "Michigan goal" to tie the game in the 1st period. Nick Foligno netted 2 goals, the second of which made it a 5-2 Hawks lead. But it was nothing but coal in Chicago's stocking from that point on, as the Blues scored 5 unanswered to defeat the Blackhawks.
