ביחד עם כל הענינים הקשורים עם הגנתם וכפרתם של ישראל צ"ל גם ענין הבטחון בה', שזהו א' מיסודות האמונה. אלא שבזה גופא ישנם את החילוקים בין "ישראל בטח בה' . . בית אהרן . . יראי ה' וגו'", וכפי מדת הבטחון למטה באה ההמשכה מלמעלה – "מדה כנגד מדה". אלא שבכל אופן, צריך שענין הבטחון יהי' לא רק כפי שהוא מצד הרצון, שאז זה יכול לישאר בבחי' מקיף בלבד, אלא זה צריך לחדור גם את השכל וכל מציאות האדם, וכמודגש בתורת חב"ד. אבל העיקר שצ"ל אצל כל אחד ואחת – לעמוד בתוקף גדול בבטחון שבודאי ישמור ה' על כאו"א בכל מקום ובכל הענינים, ואז מובטחים שכן יהי' למטה מעשרה טפחים, ובטוב הנראה והנגלה, ובקרוב ממש נלך לקבל פני משיח צדקנו.

Along with everything pertaining to protection and atonement for the Jewish people, a Jew must also have trust in Hashem, which is one of the foundations of the Jewish faith. Though there are categories, “Yisrael, trust in Hashem…House of Aharon…Those who fear Hashem” etc. – all must “trust in Hashem”. And Hashem’s blessings flow based on the degree of a person’s trust – “measure for measure”. But the trust must not remain abstract in one’s will, rather it must permeate one’s intellect and entire being – as the teachings of Chabad emphasize. The main thing is that everyone should have a strong trust that Hashem will surely protect every Jew, in every place and in every respect, and then we will see His protection visibly and physically – and very soon we will greet Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
