Episode Details

Men who are avoidant attachment and are on the younger end, e.g. under 35, tend to feel very stifled and irritated by their preoccupied attachment wife's desire to hang out and spend time together. However, they may regret this when she hits midlife, especially her 40's, because this is often when she grows sick of asking for attention and decides to leave the marriage, emotionally or physically. Then again (as with many avoidant attachment women whose husbands think they will regret not prioritizing the marriage once the kids leave home), this really may never happen, and, when the woman stops pursuing, the couple just splits up or lives parallel lives until the kids leave home.
