Published 2 years, 3 months ago
Description
In February 2017, the quiet town of Delphi, Indiana, was thrust into the national spotlight for a horrifying reason. Two young girls, Abby Williams and Libby German, went missing while hiking on the Delphi Historic Trails. Tragically, their bodies were discovered the next day. This case, known as the Delphi murders, has haunted the community and intrigued the public due to its chilling circumstances and the eerie evidence left behind.

The Disappearance

Abby Williams, 13, and Libby German, 14, were best friends who shared a love for art, nature, and photography. On February 13, 2017, they decided to spend their day off school hiking the scenic trails in their hometown. When they failed to return home, a massive search was launched. The following day, their bodies were found in a wooded area near the trail.

A Chilling Clue

The case took a spine-chilling turn when authorities revealed a piece of evidence that Libby German had captured on her phone. Just before her disappearance, she had recorded a brief video of a man walking on the bridge near them. The most unsettling part of the video is an audio clip where a man's voice can be heard saying, “Down the hill.” This phrase, now infamous, turned the case into a perplexing mystery, as it suggested that the girls might have encountered their killer before their deaths.
