In our Gospel lesson today, we’ll see that Jesus encountered some people who tried to trick him with a question. They asked him, should people pay taxes to the government? These church leaders wanted to trap Jesus, hoping he would give them a wrong answer. But of course, Jesus turns the question back on them with a different question of his own.
