Done properly, prayer is not just communicating with God, but it is also communing with Him. This loving communion should be constant, not just for a few minutes each day. We must approach our heavenly Father as a real person, not as a religious symbol. With this kind of attitude, we can magnify Him over any issues we face, and acknowledge that His name is above all other names. Coming before God because we want to, not because it is religiously mandated, empowers our prayer life.
