Episode 4 of “These Are Your Neighbors” features Jason Grueneich. Jason is a prime example of someone who not only believes he can change the world, but is out there actually doing it. In the episode, he talks about his faith, his work within the HIV community, the LGTBQ community and how he is serving as Chair of the City of Bismarck’s Human Relations Committee.
Jason was born in Bismarck ND and has been a lifelong advocate for the disenfranchised and underrepresented. His faith, love of country & state, & passion for his community has driven him to continually fight for those who's voices are lost or not heard. Jason is the current chair of the Bismarck human relations committee, helped develop the North Dakota HIV peer navigation program, sit on the North Dakota HIV planning and care Advisory Board, and was a 2022 champion of capital pride award winner for his extensive work and efforts on behalf of the LGBTQIA 2S plus communities of North Dakota. Jason is also active in the recovery communities in North Dakota and helped start the first LGBTQ recovery meeting in central North Dakota.Jason has been an active supporter of not only the LGBTQ community, but also an advocate for new Americans in North Dakota, indigenous representation in our communities, a supporter and promoter of the doctor Martin Luther King junior celebration, women's rights, union representation, and our house less populations. He believes if we don't stick together as a community and lift each other up we are doing each other a disservice.
