This week we open the first door on the Advent calendar, revisit some seasonal favourites, spend a bit of time in sunnier climes, and witness clubland crime.

Annie, lives in east London and plays in two north London bands; cornet for one and, latterly, sop (the Devil's cornet) for the other. Brass band was her first love, but she is as often found hanging around with jazz as a singer and event host.
