We learn that God tells us to give thanks daily for all we have and then some! Developing an attitude of gratitude is something evildoers, aka narcissists will never do. They don't know how to be truly grateful for what they have since they always focus on what they don't have. We cannot focus on what we don't have and be grateful for what we do have at the same time. It doesn't work that way. Chosen ones also have always been grateful and never had to 'say' it out loud and God knows this. Hence why He knows our hearts and us better than we do.
