The wait is almost over and the 2023/24 Serie A season is set to get going this weekend, with Napoli facing a tough task of defending their scudetto in what promises to be one of the most open title races in recent years. AC Milan, Inter and Juventus, as the three most recent Italian champions before Napoli ended their 33-year wait last season, will be hoping to again push to claim the Serie A title. Likely to be chasing behind are AS Roma, Lazio, Atalanta and Fiorentina, each hoping to make a challenge for Champions League qualification and maybe, just maybe, find themselves involved in a title race as well.

Newcomers Cagliari, Genoa and Frosinone won't have it easy, though the Grifone have signed well this summer and look the best set of the newly-promoted sides to secure their top-flight status for another year.
