Christians and Christianity are treated almost universally unfairly in discussions of American history in secular universities, Dr. Mark David Hall explains in this discussion of his new book, Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land: How Christianity Has Advanced Freedom and Equality for All Americans. He discusses with Dr. Jeff Myers how since the mid 20th century secular leftists have largely read Christianity out of our nation's history—and when they have noted what they believe to be the impact of the faith and the faithful on the country they've viewed it through all the wrong lenses. The remedy, he explains, is to examine history factually, not ideologically. When we do, we discover that Christians have been a force for liberty and equality for all Americans—on issues as varied as slavery and abortion.
