As an OT and mom to a sensory sensitive child, I've seen firsthand both the pros and cons that labels can bring. I discuss my own journey in understanding different perspectives on labels and how my views have evolved. I also share strategies for effective advocacy and community-building regardless of stance on labels. My goal is to start respectful conversations that consider multiple truths on this issue.
