Description
Supernatural Season 5, Episode 5, Fallen Idols recap 🎩 James Dean's cursed Porsche, Abraham Lincoln with a gun, and Gandhi in a fistfight... people are being killed by their heroes in Canton, Ohio, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast. Plus, a celebrity cameo we did NOT see coming.
Sam and Dean are back together after The End and trying to figure out how to be partners again. Their first case together: a man is crushed by the car he was obsessed with, Little Bastard, the Porsche James Dean supposedly died in. (Dean is SO excited.) Then a man is shot by Abraham Lincoln in his own office, and a wax museum seems to be at the center of it all. Ghosts? Maybe. Or maybe something much older that feeds on worship.
Episode Highlights:

- Gandhi jumping Sam from behind (pretty squirrely, as Dean put it)
- Sam explaining that Gandhi was a fruitarian, to Dean's delight

In the lore segment, we dig into the Leshy, the shapeshifting forest god of Slavic folklore: a temperamental trickster who leads travelers astray with false sounds and mimicked voices, and how to get rid of one, from iron axes to saying everything backward.
Sam: "It's okay. You're safe. Just tell us who took your friend."
Girl: "It was... Paris Hilton."
(Sorry. She looks really good, though.)
