Shaun Spencer aka @Acell started Djing in 1991 and has been mixing Vinyl ever since . Heavily influenced by the Detroit Techno and British Techno music at the time he got his first major gig playing at The Wax Club for Heart and Soul in around 1992 along side Evil Eddie Richards , Mr C , Terry Francis , Nathan Coles , Richard Grey and ADJ , where he became a regular Dj and going on to play in clubs such as The Dungeons , Sides and The Temple of Sound in Dublin , The SW1 Club London , Glastonbury , Lost with Plaid and support Dj on their Not For Threes Album Ireland tour and many underground indoor and out door events . In 2000 Acell under + One released his album The Bare Necessities (Defocus Records ) produced by Plaid . In 2011 Andy Jaggers and Shaun Spencer founded The Dodo Club an Electro/Electronica Night including residents Plaid , Errorbeauty, Steve Faullkner And Pathic . Pre Covid he was also a regular Dj for The Planet Pluto Crew Cornwall and Devon Festivals breaking into the Cornish Festival scene for the first time with his Electro and Electronica sets . In November 2019 Acell Headlined along side Wata Igarashi and the Heartheart Records Crew in Adelaide Australia and some smaller gigs in Melbourne .Recently Acell and Hashira had a track M Brane on The Carebots Compilation on Bass Agenda Records raising money for the NHS and DWF May 2020 .Due to Covid and gig cancellations last year has been a regular on Kim Cosmik’s Hybrids live streaming events , Techno The Advent ADJ and Fleck E.S.C , ADJ ’s Pyramid Transmissions Show on Global Funk Radio ,Track Listings , Dark science Electro a New Years Day 2021 chilled electronica/electro Detroit techno mix for Gated Recordings and most recently a guest mix on Andy Bartons Iconic Bass Agenda Radio Show . Recently moving to Bit Wig his latest productions includes PolyJargon a rich melodic up lifting Detroit esq production for Section 27 and Didi a cutting edge Funky , Electro , Melodic track for Pyramid Transmissions 21 st Anniversary Compilation both Mastered with extra production by Hashira . Acell recently played at The Summer love Festival with MrC , Terry Francis , Eddie Richards , Darren Emmerson , Saytek , Kid Batchelor , Jazzy M , Adamski and many more .
