The purpose of God before the foundation of the world, was to provide salvation to all who would put their faith in Jesus. When Jesus spoke of the new wine and wineskin, he was in fact referring to his own body.
The intent of the 'old' covenant was to point us to the real sanctifying power. It was an illustration, to point us to Jesus.
This message will encourage you to understand more clearly the book of Hebrews and see the marvellous wisdom of God working through generations to bring us to himself. John will take us through the book of Hebrews over the next few months, commencing with Hebrews 1.
