Dr. Aaron Kindsvatter is a former professor of counselor education. Not long ago he left his tenured position to start a private practice in Burlington Vermont. He has been outspoken in sharing his experiences, insights, and analysis about the politicization of counselor education.

Suzannah Alexander was a student in the University of Tennessee’s Clinical Mental Health Counselor program from Aug 2022 through January 2023 when she withdrew from the program after being barred from Practicum despite earning 3As and a B.
Her experience of being subjected to struggle sessions and discriminated against for her Buddhist practice and being white is detailed on YouTube. She has since spoken out and is now a volunteer at the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism.
She is also a single homeschooling parent of four, makes art work, writes online and has a background in volunteer leadership and peer support going back 30 years.
