🥶 Swan Bitcoin, a platform facilitating Bitcoin exchange, recently decided to close accounts of users engaging with mixing services. The company attributed this action to mounting pressure from banking institutions, prompted by a proposal from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, US Treasury (FinCEN) to heighten record-keeping obligations on such transactions.

🔹 Yan Pritzker, co-founder and CTO of Swan Bitcoin stated that while the company itself has an open policy for allowing coin mixing as a privacy service, there is no way of on-ramping customers with fiat without connecting to qualified custodians and banks.

🔻 ERC-4337 smart accounts = Fail
The ERC-4337 standard was introduced unexpectedly on March 1 during WalletCon in Denver. Back then, there was a hopeful outlook that “smart accounts” would quickly gain popularity. These accounts offer a way for users to skip using seed phrases and signing for specific transactions, leading to an overall improved user experience on blockchains compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). However New figures show hardly anyone is using ERC-4337
